Difficulty with upper full denture fit and poor food clearance due to tight upper anterior labial frenum.
Clinical Findings
Short, tight upper anterior labial frenum
Reduced labial extension of denture
Food trapping in the buccal sulcus
Soft tissue restriction affecting prosthesis stability
Treatment Plan
Frenectomy of the upper anterior labial frenum using 980 nm diode laser.

Patient understood and consented.
Informed consent signed for frenectomy.
Anesthesia
Local anesthesia via infiltration.
Surgical Procedure
Patient cleaned and draped.
Frenum placed under tension and released using a 15C surgical blade.
Partial-thickness sharp dissection performed to separate alveolar gingiva.
980 nm diode laser applied for final tissue contouring and hemostasis.

Post-operative Assessment
Hemostasis achieved.
Wound clean with satisfactory release.
Post-operative instructions provided.
