Buried #48 and impacted #18.
Clinical Findings
Tooth #48 is buried, and tooth #18 is impacted
Treatment Plan
LA OP removal of tooth #48 and tooth #18.
Pre-operative Assessment
Pre-op CBCT reviewed.
Risks of parasthesia to the lower lip and tongue, oroantral perforation (OAP), and oroantral fistula (OAF) explained.
Procedures discussed with the patient.
Patient understood and agreed to proceed.
Informed consent obtained.
Anesthesia
Local anesthesia administered with right inferior dental nerve (IDN) block, lingual nerve (LN) block, long buccal nerve (LBN) block, and LA infiltration for #18.
Surgical Procedure
Patient cleaned and draped.
Incision made, buccal flap raised.
Bone guttering performed.
Tooth sectioning.
#48 elevated out in 11 pieces.
Curettage performed, followed by irrigation with saline.
BSS x 06 placed for primary closure.
Haemostasis achieved.
LA OP for #18 performed.
Incision made, buccal flap raised.
Bone guttering performed.
Tooth sectioning.
#18 elevated out in three pieces.
BSS x 02 placed for primary closure.
Haemostasis achieved.
