Chief Complaint
Patient presented with concern of unerupted upper right canine (#13).
Clinical Findings
#23 (upper left canine) fully erupted.
#13 unerupted, covered by thick gingival tissue.
Eruption delayed and unable to match contra-lateral #23.
#13 positioned below gingival margin of #12.
Treatment Plan
Surgical exposure (gingivoplasty) of unerupted #13 to facilitate and accelerate eruption.
Risks, benefits, and procedures explained to patient and mother.
Quotation provided.
Informed consent obtained.
Pre-operative Assessment
Pre-op photographs taken.
No signs of active infection.
Medical history unremarkable.
Anesthesia
Local infiltration anesthesia administered around #13 region.
Surgical Procedure
Patient cleaned and draped under aseptic protocol.
Incision made and operculum overlying #13 removed.
980nm Diode Laser used to recontour soft tissue and achieve hemostasis.
Vitamin E applied over the surgical site.
Post-operative instructions provided.

Post-operative Assessment
Post-op photographs taken.
Minimal bleeding, satisfactory healing observed.
Patient tolerated procedure well.
