Multiple Dental Implant Placement with Bone Grafting at #45, #46 and #35

Surgical Procedure

Chief Complaint

Patient presented with multiple missing teeth in the lower jaw and requested replacement with dental implants.

Clinical Findings

Clinical examination confirmed missing teeth at sites #45, #46, and #35. A new CBCT scan was taken as the previous scan was older than six months.

CBCT imaging was reviewed to assess bone availability, implant positioning, and proximity to the inferior dental nerve. Implant positions for #45, #46, and #35 were carefully planned.

Treatment Plan

Placement of dental implants at sites #45, #46, and #35.
Bone grafting to support implant stability and enhance bone volume.
Healing abutments placement following implant insertion.
CBCT imaging for pre-operative planning and post-operative verification.

Pre-operative Assessment

A new CBCT scan was taken to evaluate bone structure and ensure accurate implant planning.

Risks and procedures associated with implant surgery were explained. The implant placement strategy and possible need for bone grafting were discussed.

Patient understood and agreed to proceed.
Informed consent obtained.

Anesthesia

Local anesthesia administered.

Surgical Procedure

Patient was cleaned and draped under sterile conditions.

A surgical incision was made and buccal flaps were raised to expose the implant sites. Osteotomy preparation was carried out using implant drills and osteotomes with ridge expansion.

Megagen AnyOne implants were placed at the planned sites:

  • #45

  • #46

  • #35

Healing abutments were placed accordingly.

Bone grafting was performed using artificial bone graft material to support the implant sites and improve bone integration.

The flaps were repositioned and sutured for primary closure. Haemostasis was achieved and post-operative instructions were given.

Post-operative CBCT imaging was taken to confirm implant placement.

Post-operative Assessment

Post-operative CBCT confirmed good implant alignment and positioning at sites #45, #46, and #35. The inferior dental nerve was not involved in the procedure.

Patient was reassured following the surgery.
