Implant Placement

Chief Complaint

Replacement of missing tooth #46.

Clinical Findings

  • A CBCT scan was reviewed to assess the site for implant placement.

  • The risks and procedures were explained, and the implant position was planned.

  • The patient understood the procedure and agreed to proceed.

  • Informed consent for the implant placement at the #46 site was obtained.

Treatment Plan

Placement of a dental implant at the site of the missing tooth #46.

Pre-operative Assessment

The patient was thoroughly evaluated, including reviewing the CBCT scan for precise planning of the implant placement.

Anesthesia

Local anesthesia was administered. The patient was cleaned and draped in preparation for the procedure.

Surgical Procedure

  1. An incision was made, and a buccal flap was raised.

  2. The implant site was prepared using implant drills and osteotomes.

  3. The dental implant was placed.

  4. Bone grafting was performed using 1.0 cc of EthOss artificial bone grafting material.

  5. The flap was released, and primary closure was achieved with 07 BSS sutures.

  6. Hemostasis was confirmed, and post-operative instructions (POI) were provided.

Post-operative Assessment

  • A post-operative CBCT scan confirmed that the inferior dental nerve (IDN) was not involved, and the implant alignment and position were good.

  • The patient expressed satisfaction with the procedure.
