Chief Complaint
Patient presented for replacement of a missing upper left first molar (#26) with a dental implant.
Clinical Findings
Missing tooth #26.
Pre-operative CBCT reviewed to assess bone volume and proximity to the maxillary sinus.
Implant position and angulation planned prior to surgery.
Treatment Plan
CBCT-guided dental implant placement at site #26.
Bone grafting around the implant using a collagen-containing synthetic bone graft material.
Placement of a dual abutment.
Immediate temporary crown.
Post-operative CBCT to verify implant positioning and relationship to the maxillary sinus.

Anesthesia

Surgical Procedure
The patient was cleaned and draped under sterile protocol.
Crestal incision made and buccal flap elevated.
Implant osteotomy prepared using sequential implant drills and osteotomes.
A Dentium Superline III implant (7.0 mm × 7.0 mm) was placed at site #26 with satisfactory primary stability.
A dual abutment was connected.
Bone grafting was performed around the implant using Dentium Osteon II Collagen synthetic bone graft material to support the surrounding bone contours.
Flap released and primary closure achieved with two interrupted sutures.
Haemostasis confirmed.
Immediate Temporisation
A temporary crown was fabricated and cemented using temporary cement.
A post-operative CBCT confirmed:
Accurate implant position and angulation.
Maxillary sinus remained uninvolved.
Satisfactory implant alignment.
Post-operative Assessment
Implant demonstrated good primary stability.
Temporary crown was stable.
Post-operative CBCT confirmed ideal implant placement.
Maxillary sinus remained intact.
