Dental Implant Placement at Missing Tooth Site #47
Surgical Procedure

Chief Complaint
Patient presented with a missing lower right molar (#47) and requested replacement with a dental implant.
Clinical Findings
Clinical examination confirmed a missing tooth at site #47. Pre-operative CBCT taken earlier was reviewed to assess bone volume, implant positioning, and the relationship to the inferior dental nerve.
Adequate bone support was available for implant placement.
Treatment Plan
Placement of a dental implant at site #47 with healing abutment placement.
CBCT imaging used for pre-operative planning and post-operative verification.
Pre-operative Assessment
Pre-operative CBCT imaging was reviewed to assess bone dimensions and proximity to the inferior dental nerve.
Risks and procedures associated with dental implant surgery were explained. The planned implant position and surgical process were discussed.
Patient understood and agreed to proceed.
Informed consent obtained.
Anesthesia
Local anesthesia administered.
Surgical Procedure
Patient was cleaned and draped under sterile conditions.
A surgical incision was made and a buccal flap was raised to expose the implant site. The osteotomy was prepared using implant drills and osteotomes.
A Dentium Superline implant was placed at site #47 together with a healing abutment. The flap was repositioned and sutured for primary closure. Haemostasis was achieved and post-operative instructions were provided.
Post-operative CBCT imaging was taken to verify implant position.
During evaluation, additional restorative clearance was required for the future crown restoration. The implant depth was adjusted by temporarily removing the implant, modifying the osteotomy depth, cleaning the implant with saline, and repositioning it at a slightly deeper level.
A second CBCT scan confirmed adequate implant depth and proper alignment.

Post-operative Assessment
Post-operative CBCT confirmed appropriate implant position and alignment. The inferior dental nerve was not involved in the procedure.
Implant depth was successfully adjusted to allow sufficient restorative space for the final crown. Patient was reassured and satisfied with the procedure outcome.
